Day 1: Fly to Istanbul (we landed at 4pm)

• Rooftop Bar Istanbul (great way to get your bearings in the city)
• Foods/drinks to try:
  • Salep (milk with orchid and cinnamon)
  • Baklava (dessert)

Day 2: Explore Istanbul

• We took the Bosphorus ferry trip
• Dolmabahce Palace
• Istanbul MOMA

Day 3: Explore Istanbul

• Galata Tower
• Maiden Tour
• Egyptian Bazaar

STAY: Friend’s home

Day 4: Istanbul > Izmur, Ephesus

• We flew with Atlas Global which includes a shuttle service
• Tour Ephesus (we rented bikes from our hostel)
  • Temple of Artemis
  • Ephesus
  • Cave of the seven sleepers
  • Basilica of St John

STAY: ANZ Guesthouse

Day 5: Day trip to Pamukkale

• Tour Pamukkale & Hierapolis (we hired a local cab driver for the day)

Day 6: Izmur > Kayseri

• Our flight landed around 10am
• Gerome Open Air Museum
• Whirling Dervish Show

STAY: Cappadocian Cave Suites (couldn’t recommend more!)

Day 7: Cappadocia

• Early morning Hot Air Ballon Ride
• Derinkuyu Underground City Tour

Day 8: Kayseri > Istanbul (we left around 4pm)
